Manzanita 8th graders took part in a special visit from the Tilden Naturalist Program this fall. Two naturalists and one park ranger visited campus to discuss:
- how environments change over time
- how animals adapt to those changes
They brought several visitors along, including two snakes, a bearded dragon, and a turtle named Sarah.
Highlights of the visit included a discussion on snake misconceptions and an opportunity to hold some of the animals.
Ms. Ralph applied for the visit last summer on behalf of this year’s 8th grade students. Public schools are granted one visit per year if they complete the application process.
